Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

ReelTag is a self-hosted QR-code video viewer published by JK.Creative LLC, 522 W Riverside Ave Ste N, Spokane, WA 99201 US ("we", "us"). Because ReelTag is self-hosted, the operator of each ReelTag instance — typically a brand, distributor, or influencer — is the controller of personal data collected by that instance. JK.Creative LLC processes a limited set of data only when you interact with our marketing site or purchase a license.

2. Data Collected by ReelTag (Self-Hosted)

When deployed by a customer, a ReelTag instance may store:

Product metadata (name, description, video URLs, language tags) entered by the operator.
Aggregate scan analytics (timestamp, language served, referrer) tied to a QR code, not to an individual.
Optional viewer feedback (free-text + email if voluntarily supplied) submitted on the public viewer page.
Affiliate / referrer attribution tokens used to credit influencers for scans and conversions.

Each instance operator is responsible for providing their own privacy notice to viewers, complying with applicable laws (GDPR, CCPA, ePrivacy, etc.), honoring deletion requests, and securing the database they host.

3. Data We Collect Directly

When you visit our marketing site, contact us, or purchase a ReelTag license, we may collect:

Name, email, business name, and country supplied via contact or checkout.
Payment confirmation metadata from Square (we do not store full card numbers; Square is the processor).
Standard server logs (IP, user agent, request path) retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging.
Aggregate, privacy-preserving analytics via our self-hosted Umami instance (no cookies, no cross-site tracking).

4. How We Use Data

To deliver the licensed Software and license keys.
To respond to support requests and send transactional emails.
To detect abuse, fraud, and security threats.
To send occasional product updates, with an unsubscribe link in every message.

5. Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share data only with: payment processors (Square) for transaction handling; email infrastructure (Resend) for transactional and opt-in marketing email; hosting providers necessary to operate the marketing site and license server; and law enforcement when compelled by valid legal process.

6. Cookies & Tracking

Our marketing site uses essential session cookies only. We do not use third-party advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or fingerprinting. Customer-hosted ReelTag instances may use a single session cookie for admin authentication.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, port, or delete personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict processing. To exercise these rights, email hello@jkcreative.store. Note: data held inside a self-hosted customer instance must be requested directly from that instance operator; we have no access to it.

8. Retention

We keep marketing-site contact records for as long as the relationship is active plus 24 months. Server logs roll off after 30 days. License records are kept for the life of the license plus 7 years for tax and accounting purposes.

9. Security

We use TLS in transit, encrypted storage at rest for sensitive fields, role-based access internally, and regular dependency patching. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affecting your data occurs we will notify you as required by law.

10. International Transfers

Our infrastructure is located in the United States. By using our Service from outside the U.S., you consent to the transfer of your data to the U.S.

11. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

12. Changes

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be reflected in the Effective date above. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
